I posted this Follow Up to a similar question 6/17/02:

I found that my throttle grip end was loose. I pulled it off and found that there is an inner "male" piece that joins the "female" end of the handlebar. I rapped masking tape around the male piece to thicken it up so that it would slip tighter into the handlebar end. Now, it does move around a very little bit but is *nowhere near* falling off. I've given it some serious tugs off just to see what it would take and It would never happen with cycle regular use. Just wrap the masking tape a few times and give it a nice push on and you should be good.

I was going to ignore it, but I figured Suzuki would charge a lot for the part and I didn't want to drive around without it if I lost it.
